Social Diary

The Stubbington Green Runners Social committee is very active in organising fun events and post run socials throughout the year to compliment the training and competitive runs. 2017 was an active year for the club with many events and social gatherings. We will be looking to repeat these events in 2018 but are always open to suggestions and volunteers to help organise new ones too.

Events will be posted on the calendar under the News section of this website as a handy reference. Details of events will appear here and on our Facebook page as they are arranged.

Time Trial 14th  June http://stubbingtongreenrunners.net/index.php/training/time-trial
There are two start times, to get everyone to finish about the same time. So people looking to run 4 miles in over 35 minutes start at 6.45pm. For people under 35 minutes, we start at 7.00pm. We start at Eric Road by the Shell Garage.  As people progress with their times below 35 minutes they will move up to the 7pm start time, which will in turn help runners to improve their times, so a great win win.
Miles of Miles  27th June 5:30–8:30pm For those of you who haven’t heard of the event before, it is a 10 person relay event involving loads of the local running and athletics clubs. It involves each team member running one mile each (four laps of the track), so a great opportunity to race hard and see what you can do over a mile on the track.

We have entered three teams in recent years and will aim to again. Each team must have at least two ladies (and can of course have more)!

The event is open to all abilities; as spaces are limited we will be allocating teams on a first come first served basis, so if you want to get involved the let us know as early as possible!
£2 per person entry cost.  Any queries please get in touch Marcus
