The Cheriton Trail Race is an exciting, brand new, off road event based at the village of Cheriton, Hampshire in the South Downs National Park. The beautiful scenic route is almost entirely on bridle paths and footpaths in the area and is very "runnable" with a couple of modest climbs. It culminates in a spectacular, fast, descent to the finish at the village recreation ground where there will be family entertainment, refreshments and leading sports promoters’ stands.
This is a chip timed event finishing at the recreation ground in the village centre, where competitors and their families and supporters will be able to enjoy a range of facilities. These include: Alton Sports and On Running stands, a BBQ and other refreshment stalls, including a beer tent and ice creams, a children’s funfair and an enter on the day junior race for the under 12’s.
The race route is just over 11miles with 95% off road. It will be fully signed and marshalled event with water stations en route.
